Mike Hermann Investigations was founded in 2009 by Mike Hermann, a former Police Lieutenant with 19-years law enforcement experience. As a law enforcement officer, Mike had conducted thousands of criminal and civil investigations including Homicides, Suspicious Deaths, Attempted Murders, Assaults with Deadly Weapons, Drug Possession and Sales, Child Abuse and Neglect, Robberies, Missing Persons, Fatal Traffic Collisions, Frauds, Thefts, Burglaries, Elder Abuse, Sex crimes, and many, many more.

I am a former police lieutenant with 19 years of law-enforcement experience. Throughout my career, I have performed a variety of functions, including deputy sheriff / coroner, resident deputy on the Mendocino coast, patrol officer, school resource officer, field-training officer, detective, patrol sergeant, field-training program supervisor, department training manager, investigations supervisor, lieutenant and support services commander.

I have conducted thousands of criminal and civil investigations, including homicides, attempted murders, assaults with deadly weapons, child abuse and neglect cases, missing persons, serious and fatal traffic collisions, frauds, thefts, burglaries, elder abuse, sex crimes, and many, many others. In addition, I have also conducted numerous internal affairs and administrative investigations, including citizen complaints and officer-involved incidents such as shootings, use of force, collisions and in-custody deaths.

I am an I.C.I. (Institute of Criminal Investigations) certified homicide and child-abuse investigator, an experienced interview and interrogation specialist, a background investigator, an instructor of traffic-collision investigations, and a traffic-law specialist, as well as an instructor of basic crime-scene investigations that include evidence identification and collection, documentation, search warrant preparation, report writing, and courtroom testimony. In addition to well over 2000 hours of professional training, I hold an Associate Degree in Criminal Justice; A Bachelor of Science Degree in Criminal Justice Administration; and a Master's Degree in Business Administration (MBA). I am well versed in criminal and investigative procedures, and my investigations are always thorough and complete.
