Great company for adults to work at. The crybabies are unhappy because they don't get their every wish granted. A customer that is looking for great service benefits from the adults at this agency.

I am a retired security officer from Conley Security - a place where I proudly worked for over 10 years. I served a full and honorable career in the US Navy and retired at a senior enlisted rank in my younger days. I am very surprised by the few negative comments I have read here. I do not know who these people are, but I never worked with them. My guess is they are discontented people who are resentful because they were not good enough to make it at Conley.

Not everyone cuts the mustard. During my duration of employment, I found Conley Security to be a great place to work as long as you do not mind working. I am older and the one thing I did not like is having to work with the type of lazy people who in my early days would have been called punks. Mr. Conley is a retired US Navy Commander and I would have enjoyed working for him in the navy.

He is a competent leader who runs a tight ship. I know from personal experience he truly cares about his employees and all the customers. The same is true of the other staff. I enjoyed working Conley Security because they are truly the best security company

This company is not employee friendly. Conley does not listen to or respect the needs of his employees. I had started working with them and was experiencing some family issues and had requested to go from full-time to part-time but keep my 80 hrs per 2 weeks by switching from 8 hour shifts 5 days a week to 12 hour shifts 3 days a week. Conley replied by saying that I had signed a contract saying that I would work any shift and any hours when working full-time and stated that he would not approve my request to transfer to part-time due to family matters and additionally stated that I could either resign or remain full-time and expect to be reprimanded for violations of company policy. I was never aware that I had violated any company policy and was not told what I did wrong, therefore, I left the company.

IN REPLY TO THE OWNER: The replies made to these reviews are evidence enough of this companies integrity. Yes it is easy to be a keyboard warrior, I could say the same thing for your replies here. You are upset because I am a whistleblower. Enough research into the history of Conley will cause concern, multiple lawsuits, abuse, etc. I don't attack character with personal insults, I reveal truth.

You lack professionalism and I am severely disappointed in your company. A good employer listens to his employees for feedback. Everything I've said below remains true and I stand by it. Former employee. Absolutely horrible company to work for! I was lied about for "not doing my job" from a coworker who wanted my position. I was fired for "coming into work late" too many times but I know I was rocking the boat for Conley's many injustices.

The Conley Group Inc. claims to be prestigious in the Des Moines area, at the forefront of security. They claim to have the best trained officers at the highest pay which is false on both accounts. In the seven months I worked for the company the amount of training I received was four hours for a pepper spray course and four hours for a handcuff course.

Both of which were done through the Des Moines Police Academy. I had to learn on the job and learn how to respond to situations on my own. The company is riddled with politics, favoritism, and corruption. Tom Conley (or chief/sir/#1 as you are required to call him) does not respond to employee feedback, he is never visible and takes the job far too seriously treating it like his own private police force. RED AND BLUE LIGHTS ON NON LEO PATROL CARS ARE ILLEGAL.

There is an absolute lack of trust in the company from what I gathered from other employees. I can't reveal who, but there was an employee who was physically abused (slapped). There is constant frustration, and in the time I was employed only a handful of people actually stayed on. Most joined for a few months and quit or realized how truly terrible it was and walked away.

This former employee does not foresee the company functioning much longer if it continues on this way. I went in to turn in the uniforms I requested all work documents and/or contract to review for myself. Tom Conley responded by saying I wouldn't get anything of the sort without a subpoena. Why would that be so difficult unless you're trying to hide something?

I said, "I don't have a right to my own information?" And he said no. I walked out only later to find he trespassed me without even asking me to leave his office. The next day I received a cease and desist order from the attorney representing the company due to another online review I posted on their Facebook page which of course they maintain at 5 stars. Google speaks volumes to their true colors.

I'll state the following for legal reasons: I have given an honest review with no ill will on an open public forum and the company threatened a lawsuit and demanded it be taken down. I've given it a few months to cool down. As of this post, I have still not received any of the paperwork I requested from the company. The above statement is true to the best of my knowledge and experience and is of no false or libelous intent.

I worked here a short time. During this time, I was stuck working with a lazy female who refused to patrol all areas because she was "tired". Yet during the shift I had to hear about her personal life and complaints about everything from the job to her life at home. During several of my shifts my female partner would disappear for hours and not be seen or heard from.

I caught her a few times kissing on guys in the parking garage, and sometimes in stairwells. She'd always be on her phone talking or texting and even sending selfies to people. Several times she even gave out her address and phone number to people in our patrol area inviting them over. She bragged about how she had connections and could do anything she wanted and that she was guaranteed a spot on the police force.

She told me that the only reason she wAnted in security and police work is cause of the power and money. She told me several times that she could care less about half the calls we respond to.

I worked here for about 3 years. I put forth the effort and became a watch commander, which helped me get my foot in the door for a LEO job. In regard to some of these negative reviews, this job is not for lazy individuals. The job is what you make of it. Not many companies give you the opportunity to use equipment in a squad car. One thing people mistake coming into the company is the belief that they will be armed.

In this company you must prove yourself not to be a liability and prove you are a problem solver to carry a gun. Again, this company is what you make of it and it worked for me.

Wow! We retained The Conley Group to manage a very dangerous workplace violence threat to our company and to our staff as a result of an employee we had to fire. Tom Conley and his team took charge and knew exactly what to do. Not only were they successful in effectively diminishing the threat posed by the ex-employee, but they helped our company find and eliminate several security weaknesses we were not even aware of previously. They just do not come any better than The Conley Group!
